Nico Januel coche “La Force” 9a au toit d’Orsay

Si il est passé à côté des championnats de France de bloc le week-end dernier avec une 35ème place, le bloqueur de 37 ans n’en reste pas moins en très grande forme. Alors qu’il travaille depuis quelques temps le projet du “Bombé bleu” à Buoux, il continue également d’écumer les spots de fontainebleau et de la région Parisienne. Cette fois, il réalise “La Force”, au toit d’Orsay. Libéré par Alban Levier en 2016, la cotation avait été proposée à 9a voie, prenant en compte la trentaine de mouvement qui composent ce problème.

Après Alban Levier et Camille Coudert, Nico Januel est donc le 3ème ascensionniste de “La Force”.

So happy to make the 3rd ascent of @alban_levier power endurance testpiece « La force » in le Toit d’Orsay. That’s one of the most amazing line I climbed in my life. Alban graded the problem as a 9a sport climbing grade, 8c+ « traverse » Font grade after the first repetition. The traverse grade is a specific Fontainebleau grade I never understood. Who decided a boulder problem had to be 1 or 30 movements? You definitely had to put different ability in, but it’s still bouldering!! (I really think we have to stop with the traverse grade 😬). Anyway, I think I climbed my 3rd (soft) 8c Font grade!!!
